About Pixel Helper Guides
Pixel Helper Guides is run by the Pixel Helper team, the developers behind the Pixel Helper Chrome extensions. More than a thousand marketers, store owners and developers use our extensions to see which tracking pixels fire on a page — and the most common question we get afterwards is: "OK, it shows an error. Now how do I fix it?"
This site is our answer. Each guide takes one real pixel problem — a pixel that doesn't fire, an event that fires twice, a conversion that never shows up in the ads manager — and walks through the causes in the order you're most likely to hit them, with the exact steps to confirm the fix.
What we cover
- Meta Pixel and the Conversions API
- Google: GA4, Google Ads conversion tracking, Google Tag Manager and Consent Mode
- TikTok Pixel and Events API
- Reddit, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn and Microsoft Advertising tags
- Shopify tracking with app pixels, custom pixels and customer events
- Fundamentals that affect every platform: consent, ad blockers, browser privacy, single-page apps and Content Security Policy
How we write guides
- Facts about each platform are checked against the platform's own documentation, and we link to it so you can confirm.
- We don't publish invented statistics or made-up case studies.
- Ad platforms change their tools often. When a menu, parameter or policy changes, we update the guide and its "Updated" date.
- If something in a guide is wrong or out of date, please tell us. Corrections are the most useful email we get.
Independence
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Meta, Google, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, Snap, LinkedIn, Microsoft or Shopify. Product names are used only to describe what each guide is about.
